Janina Jablecka
Bio:
Born in Bulgaria, spent my childhood in Morocco, currently live in Warsaw, Poland. I graduated from an architecture engineering master's in Poland, after which did postgraduate specializations in France and Poland in the field of cultural heritage and project management.
My great love since childhood has always been art and after years of interruption, I began to create intensively in 2019. My favorite themes are portraits of animals and people, but being a nerd, fantastic elements often appear.
I most often paint traditionally with alcohol markers and watercolors, but also create digital drawings ( those are painstakingly worked, no AI generation has crossed my mind ).
In 2022, I rediscovered my dream for ceramics, creating artistic panels and sculptures. That medium currently takes half of my art work. A year later started exploring artistic metalsmithing with the ultimate goal to combine the two.
My painting from 2021, inspired by the many protests in support of women's rights in Poland, became a kind of symbol and appeared in many global online publications. My works can be found in collections in Europe, Australia and North America.
Since 2023, I head of the artistic society "Plener" at the Polish Society of Architects in Warsaw, which count 44 artists.
